Garnet Westermann

Garnet John Westermann

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Garnet left this world on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 to be reunited with the love of his life, Michelle. He will also be joined in heaven with his mom, Dianne, his grandparents, Garnet and Mabel Guy and John and Elizabeth Westermann, and many other family and friends. Garnet will be dearly missed by his sons Andrew (Jasmin) and Austin, father Rudy (Pauline), brother Trent (Arlette), sister Melody (Jeff), brothers-in-law Mike and Tommy, as well as his aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Born October 30, 1969 to Rudy and Dianne Westermann Garnet graduated from Mortlach School and also received his Power Engineering from Kelsey. He was employed by Moose Jaw Public School Board and later by the Water Treatment Plant at Buffalo Pound. Garnet married Michelle in July of 1991 and together they raised their two sons, Andrew and Austin. He was an avid hunter which was a sport he shared with his father, brother and sons. Summers were spent camping and at the Ball Diamonds playing slo-pitch. Winters were spent hunting and bowling. Garnet was a strong silent type of man, who was very generous and hardworking who always made himself available to help others (whether it was to sort calves, build a deck, give advice, give a ride, cut grass, or just to listen.) He will be greatly missed.
