It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Sidney Ethelbert Tobin, age 94, a resident of Harbourview Hospital Veterans Wing, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, Sidney was the son of the late Bernard and Anna (MacGregor) Tobin. He returned home in 1946 and went to work at the Point Edward Naval Base until his retirement. Sidney was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Veteran’s Wing at Harbourview Hospital, the Northside General Hospital and also Dr. Andrew Wawer.
