Irene Pearce-McLaughlin, 74 Irene Mary Pearce-McLaughlin of Botwood, NL passed away peacefully at the age of 74 after a short battle with cancer on Monday, June 23, 2015. Born February 8, 1941 in Spillar's Cove, Bonavista, NL, Irene is the daughter of the late Rose and Israel Pearce. She is survived by her husband, Jim McLaughlin; two daughters Yvonne (Harrison) Yates; Tracy (Cecil) Gardiner; son, Junior Pearce (Candace Carter); sisters, Angela (late Dan O'Neill), Dorothy (late Claude Welcher), and brothers Anthony (Triffie Dalton) and Willie (late Margaret) Pearce. Irene is predeceased by the late Gerald (Eileen) and Dan (Joan) Pearce; late sisters Mary (Matthew) Fleming and Margaret (John) O'Connell; and her two sons, the late Darren and Rodney Pearce. Irene also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren: Natasha, Cassandra, Nicole, Denny, Jordan, Dillan, Cameron, Klaire, Jaxen and one great great-granddaughter Charlotte. She is also survived by her blended family members: Connie (Eric) Lidstone; Ronald (Shelly) McLaughlin; Sean McLaughlin; Donald (Tam) McLaughlin; and Ricky (Amy) McLaughlin. Her step- grandchildren include: Arjae, Travis, Ryan, Matthew, Erika, Alex, Brianna and MacKenzie. Memorial Services will be conducted in Botwood, NL at 7:00pm, Thursday, June 25 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and another at Russell's Funeral Home and Crematorium (in Stephenville) on Friday, June 26th, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will take place Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Stephen's Parish Church. Given Irene's unwavering faith, the family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Anne's Guild in Stephenville (C/O St. Stephen's Parish, 78 West Street, Stephenville, Newfoundland. A2N 1E4) or the Catholic Women's Society in Botwood, NL. - Attention Marion Gill).
