Surrounded by her family, Rita Eileen Ganong (Stanley) of Kiersteadville, age 88, wife of Paul Ganong, passed away, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 24, 2015. She was born in Hampton, NB, the daughter of the late Milton and Mabel Stanley. Rita Ganong, born July, 26, 1926, lived a full life.
Rita will be sadly missed by daughters Paulette and Garnie Boyd, Cathy and Fraser Morrell, Bonnie Ganong and Doug Bates, Tammy and Troy Duplessis; son Ronald and Susan Ganong; 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brothers Curtis (Kiersteadville) Stanley, Keith (Quispamsis) Stanley, Ronald (Woodstock) Stanley, and; sisters Lois (St. Stephen) Bartlett, Shirley (Hatfield Point) Flegg, Glenna (Ontario) Ronson,; sister in law, Shirley (Hampton) Stanley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sons Jeffrey and Terry; brothers George, Murray, and Roy; sisters Lillian, Evelyn, Jean and infant twin sisters.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service at Outreach Pentecostal Church, will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 27, 2015. A private family interment will take place following the service in the Bayview Cemetery.
