Allan Tredenick Matthews passed away in his 90th year, in Montreal, P.Q., on February 11, 2015, after suffering many years with dementia. Beloved husband to Claire Hodges (1927-1980); loving father to Melodee Ula; brother to Myrna (Hastings) deceased, Mary (Gibson) and Sandra (Rumfeldt). Born on February 28, 1925, in O'Leary, PEI, Allan Tredenick was predeceased by his parents, John A. Matthews and Mary O. Matthews (Tredenick). Allan moved to NYC with the Bank of Nova Scotia then lived in Montreal for 56 years where he started a Canadian branch of Laidlaw Securities, then joined Nesbit Burns as a stockbroker. He also enjoyed golfing and curling. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m. in the Bloomfield United Cemetery, Woodstock, followed by a reception at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O¹Leary.
