It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenda Paterson of Canaan Forks on June 3, 2015 at the age of 44.
She is survived by her parents Ken and Ruth Mitton of Sackville, her husband Dale, their daughters: Rayelle and Kali, as well as several brothers and sisters-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Kenda was a graduate of Tantramar High School and attended Mount Allison University and University of New Brunswick. she was a dedicated kindergarten teacher at Salisbury Elementary School, a career she chose at the age of five. Kenda was a member and leader of the Girl Guides of Canada for several years. She currently was a leader in Awana in Havelock and a dedicated member of the New Canaan Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, from where visitation was held.
A Celebration of Kenda's life was held from New Canaan Baptist Church on June 6, 2015 with David McPherson officiating.
The Musical Selections: "Amazing Grace", "God of the Mountain" and "How Great Thou Art" were provided by Anne Williams.
The interment was in New Canaan Cemetery, New Canaan, NB.
The Pallbearers were: Robert Paterson, Nick Paterson, Mike Paterson, Richard Mitton, Tanner Mitton and Mike Monkman.
Words can not express our undying gratitude for the support shown to us with the recent passing of a loving wife, mother, teacher and friend. Whether you sent flowers, contributed to the Living Memorial or came to the Church. Your kindness will never be forgotten. God Bless you all… Dale and family
