Bertha McBeath

McBEATH, BERTHA LOUISE (SULLIVAN)
It is with great sadness the family of Bertha L McBeath, announce her passing on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Waterford (Sussex), NB, Bertha was the daughter of the late Daniel and Isabel (O’Leary) Sullivan.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, she attended Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and was a life member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL).

Bertha was an avid bridge player who spent many a night playing cards with her long time and new found friends. Over the years, she also enjoyed bowling, curling, line and square dancing and toll painting. Family gatherings especially those at Caissie Cape were fondly enjoyed by Bertha.

Mum will be sadly missed and forever loved by her children, Bill (Susan) McBeath of Riverview, Ann (Ross) Fisher, Claire (Shane) Esson, and daughter -in-law Jennifer (Bill) Dooley all of Moncton. She is survived by ten grandchildren, Sarah, Dawn, Kerri, Scott, Kate, Mike, Jared, Jack, Marin and Taylor and three great grandchildren, Georgia, Reegan and William. Bertha had a great fondness for all her grandchildren and the expected great grandchildren will unfortunately miss the opportunity of knowing “Nanny”.

In addition to her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) J. McBeath (2006), son Geoffrey (2004). Brothers, Arthur, Harold, Daniel and sisters, Isabel, Helen, Ethel, Kay, Jo, Connie, Mary (Sister Barbara) and Jean who was especially dear to Mum as she adjusted to her new surroundings at People’s Park Tower. Bertha was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Camille Allanach, Dr. Pam Mansfield and Extra Mural staff (particularly Janet) for Mum’s excellent care over the past few weeks. A very special thank you to Jean for all her kindness.
