Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital, Oshawa, Ontario surrounded by family on June 23, 2015, after a short but hard fought battle with brain cancer. Predeceased by her mother Alfreda Abbott (nee Stratton), her father William Abbott, & niece Roseann Mouland. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories her loving husband of 49 years, Tom Skiffington, three sons, Wade, Todd (Jane), & Brad (Rebecca), her three grandchildren Devon, Ian, & Autumn; her sisters Barbara Mouland (Harold), Cynthia Goodyear (Wilson), Margaret Luedee (Gerald), & Eileen Moss (Randy); her brothers Harvey (Anna), Wesley (Joan), & Bill (Sheila). As well as many nieces, nephews, & other relatives. Gaye's kindness, caring nature, & thoughtfulness was immediately evident to anyone who knew her. Her family was her world. Her husband, her three boys, and her three grandchildren meant everything to her. Her smile was heartwarming & infectious. Gaye loved to be in her gardens or sitting on her deck with a cup of tea. Gaye will be deeply missed by so many! Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Monday from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, then on Tuesday from 10am-12noon. Funeral service to be held from The Salvation Army, CBS Corps, Long Pond on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Long Pond, CBS.
