Eleanor Lillian
Eleanor Lillian Pynn (nee Rodgers) of St. John's, formerly Heart's Content, NL, passed peacefully away at Palliative Care, Miller Centre, in the presence of her loving family on July 1, 2015. Age 88 years. Predeceased by parents Jonas and Naomi, brothers Gordon, Earl, Clyde, John and baby sister Elizabeth, sister in law Jessie Taylor (Art), Eileen, brother in law Judd Spurell and Mark Pynn. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Fred, daughter Joan (Carl) Rickert and son David (Donna) Pynn. A wonderful grandmother to Adam (Robyn) Rickert, Amy Rickert (Shane) and Angela Rickert (Mark), Stephen Pynn and Scott Pynn (Amie), and great grandmother to Emily Jane Rickert. Loving sister in law Marjorie Rodgers, also sisters in law Bub Jewer (Bill), Betty Spurell, brothers in law Cyril Pynn (Georgie), Gordon Pynn (Betty Lou) and John Moore. Also leaving to mourn nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends, especially at Bishop Meaden Manor - Saint Luke's Homes. As per Eleanor's wishes cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday, July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 4 at 2 p.m. with inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road Columbarium.
