Loretta was actively involved in the Canadian Legion, and was for 18 years the provincial treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion. She was also actively involved with both the Girl Guides and Scouts, starting the first Cub pack in Buchans in the early 1960's. Upon her move to St. John's in 1972 she remained active with the Legion, and for many years was the Secretary of the Action Committee for the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion in St. John's. Loretta was active in her condo association at 25 Tiffany Lane, and was president of that association for a period of time. Thank you to the second floor staff at Tiffany Village, who embraced her desire to keep active for the two years she lived there. Special thanks goes to her two special caregivers, Paula Parsons and Jaime Westgate, as well as others, who met her every need over the last several months.
