MATCHETT, TED - Ted Matchett of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Kelly (Markee) Matchett, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on July 1, 2015. He was born on October 12, 1960 in Newcastle, NB, son of the late Sydney and Arvilla (Brown) Matchett.
Ted loved his sons, family and friends, he loved to sing and was a former member of Southern Gospel groups "The Ascensions", "For the Cross" and "Kings Four".
Surviving besides his wife Kelly are sons, Timothy Matchett (Jocelyn Webber) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Cody Matchett of Caronport, SK, three sisters, Nancy Popovich (Charlie King), Millie Stewart (Don), Judy Proctor (Kier), three brothers, Earl Matchett (Alice), Sonny Matchett (Phyllis) and Scott Matchett (Sharon), all of Moncton, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Roger Matchett.
Resting at Kings Way Assembly, 7 Kings Way Drive, Quispamsis, with visiting on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Kings Way Assembly at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow the service. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
