DIXON, M. CAROLE - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carole Dixon of Saint John announces her passing, which occurred at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on July 2nd, 2015.
Marilyn was born in Saint John on August 19, 1938; a daughter of the late Margaret (MacVicar) and Arthur Barnes. Carole enjoyed life with family and friends; she loved bingo, and shopping in Calais, as well as going for drives in her car.
Carole is survived by two sons: Michael Dixon (Chantale Lagacé-Stewart) of Carter’s Point, and Thomas Dixon (Roxy) of Nova Scotia. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Melvin (David) of Saint John, Judith Baxter (Glenn) of Clifton Royal, Patsy McDougall (David) of Quispamsis, granddaughter Erin, three step-grandchildren; Clinton, Malcolm and Isabelle, as well as two great-grandchildren; Sofia and Aria, many nieces, and one nephew.
In keeping with Carole’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
