JOSEPH CORMIER
1941 - 2015
Joseph “Joe” Cormier, 74, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Sunday, July 5th, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Rita (née: LeBlanc) Cormier.
Joe worked in sales and served as a Dieppe councillor for 21 years from 1980 to 2001, including several years as the Deputy Mayor. He was a true people person and enjoyed woodworking, loved to sing and had a great sense of humour.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice (née: LeBlanc); two daughters: Josette of Dieppe and Charline (Daniel) of Montréal, QC; two sons: Michel (Gisèle) of Allison and Tyler of Dieppe; two grandchildren: Miguelle and Jasmin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Roger.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, N.B., on Friday, July 10th, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment at the Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB
Donations to CHU Dumont Foundation or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
