On July 6, 2015, James Whitney Glenn Scott passed away peacefully at his residence in Rothesay surrounded by his family.  He had just celebrated his 92nd birthday.  A lifelong resident of Saint John, he was born June 15, 1923 to Francis Arthur Scott and Margaret Dunham Scott. He was predeceased by his sister Frances who died in childhood and his wife of 58 years Allie Wilson Scott. 
Glenn attended Beaconsfield School and graduated from Saint John High School. During WWII he joined the RAF Ferry Command and served as a radio officer, completing multiple missions in North Africa, the Middle East and India.  Following the War he earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.  Glenn practiced in Saint John with the consulting firm of Turnbull and Scott, before completing his professional career as the manager of buildings and construction for the New Brunswick Telephone Company. He enjoyed an active retirement, earning his private pilot's license, traveling extensively with his family and spending many happy afternoons sailing on the Kennebecasis and Saint John Rivers. Glenn was a long time senior member of the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club, a member of Probus and served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Turnbull Home. 
He is survived by his daughter Gail Scott Camalier (Chris) of Alexandria, Virginia, his son Graeme Scott (Barbara) of Saint John and two granddaughters Victoria Scott (Tim Pfinder) of Quispamsis and Elizabeth Scott of Saint John, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved orange tabby "Rusty".  
Arrangements by Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday July 8 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held from St. John the Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clements, 815 Millidge Avenue, Saint John on Thursday July 9, at 11:00am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. www.BrenansFH.com
