Gail Van Moorlehem

Van Moorlehem
It is with great sadness that the family of Gail T. Van Moorlehem announces her passing in her sleep the evening of June 30, 2015 at the Union Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK at age 73. Gail was born on October 26, 1941 in Prince Albert, SK the eldest child to Bill and Eileen Davis. She spent her formative years in PA especially enjoying the summers spent with her extended family at Emma Lake. Gail met Larry while training as a lab technician at Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina. They were married on June 3, 1963 at St. Andrew’s United Church and continued to reside in Regina until they moved to Dryden, Ontario in the spring of 1978. Gail enjoyed curling, golf and especially 5 pin bowling. She was an accomplished crafter, creating many items in various media which she sold for several years at local craft fairs. She especially loved spending long summer days by the pool that Larry installed behind their home in 1984. In 1997, Gail and Larry returned to Saskatchewan, residing in Marquis so that Larry could take over responsibilities at the family farm. Family was very important to Gail and her happiest times were spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had a special spot in her heart for the many pets she and Larry parented over the years. She will be truly missed by her family including current at home “children”, Nemo and Stitch. Gail is predeceased by her mother Eileen Davis (nee Trann) and father, William Davis. She is survived by her husband, Larry; children Lindsay Van Moorlehem (Blake), Casey Van Moorlehem, Jennifer Palmer (Scott) and Robin (Robert) Larocque; brothers Bill Davis and Rick (Brenda) Davis; eight grandchildren, Quinn and Brady Van Moorlehem, Maggie and Alex Palmer, Makenna, Brittany, Azlynn and Taya Larocque; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
