It is with great sadness that we, the family of Aaron Ernest Cooke, age 59 of Amherst announce his passing on Thursday, July 2, 2015.
Born in Amherst, he was the son of Cedric and the late Geraldine (MacDonald) Cooke.
Aaron was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Amherst Junior A Ramblers. He was employed for more than 30 years at Compass Minerals Canada Corp. (Sifto Canada). He enjoyed playing recreational slo-pitch, golfing and spending time at the beach with family and friends.
Aaron will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Jackie (Belliveau), son Ryan; brother Gerard (Beverly) Cooke; nephews Tim (Mylene), Thom (Erin) and Tyler (Petra); sister in-law Patti (Rick) Leighton and nephew Taylor; niece Kayla, cousins and best friend Mike (Michele) Burke.
A visitation was held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, (98 Church St, Amherst, 902 667 9906).
A private family interment has taken place in the St. Charles- Nativity Cemetery.
