It is with sincere sadness that the family of John James Bennett of Cormack announces his peaceful passing at his family residence surrounded by family, on Tuesday, July 7th, 2015, at the age of 85 years. James will be forever remembered for the simple, humble, religious, man he was who loved his family dearly and was respected by his community. Johnny will be missed by his wife Margaret nee May, his children: Elaine (Carl) of Medicine Hat, Alberta , Daisy (Melvin) of Deer Lake, Norma, & Valda (Gilbert) both of Barrie Ontario, Tony (Carol), Bill (Karen), Cliff (Tara), all of Cormack, Jamie (Sherrie) of Pasadena, 22 grandchildren, and 17 great, grandchildren. James has been pre-deceased by his parents, James and Amanda Bennett, step mother Ethel Bennett, sister Priscilla Bennett, and baby Bennett. The family will be receiving relatives & friends from The Pentecostal Church, in Cormack, NL, on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 9th, 2015, at 2pm, with Pastor Craig Giles and Pastor Cyril Farewell officiating with the burial will follow at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Cormack, NL. Donations may be made to the Janeway Hospital or the Mental Illness Association, in Johnny's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family's.
