Granville lived in the Tuberose area all of his life. He was a member of the Kyle Elks Club and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. As a young man, Granville worked for Orville Jacobsen in Big Stone, AB as a ranch hand; J.B. McLeod on a feedlot in Strathmore, AB; for Bill Morrison in Kyle, SK and worked for Jim Handle as a plumber in Raymore, SK. He returned home to farm and ranch in the Tuberose district. Granville was known for his generous and helpful nature. He joined his brother Rolland and friends Robert Thompson and Ferg Gilmore on many cattle drives to the summer pastures. Most recently, Granville enjoyed having the opportunity to ride his horse during many round ups and brandings with Gary Denning, he was a very welcome addition to the crew. When Granville and Millie moved to Kyle they spent many hours in their woodshop creating colorful seasonal displays that lit up their yard for the community to enjoy. Granville enjoyed going to the local rodeos and following them on TV as well. But come winter curling was the game of choice. Granville was also very handy in the kitchen and always took his part in the annual Lefsa making. Granville and Mille enjoyed a few road trips to McBride and Terrace, BC and a trip to the Maritimes. Granville will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The Graveside Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015 from the Clearwater Cemetery with Pastor Linda Hall officiating.
