Jean Holtom
April 24, 1942 - July 7, 2015
Jean (nee Wilkinson) Holtom, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away peacefully in Saskatoon, SK, surrounded by her family on July 7, 2015 following an 18 month battle with cancer, at the age of 73 years. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Dave, and their children: Corinne (Brian) Delorme of Regina, SK, Debbie (Brian) Gallagher of Saskatoon, SK and Brian (Charlotte) Holtom of Prince Albert, SK. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her brother Robert Wilkinson and family; her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts and many cousins. Jean was predeceased by her parents Bill and Paula Wilkinson, her mother-in-law Jackie King, her sisters-in-law Janet and Edna, and also her precious "momma" cat. Jean was born on April 24, 1942 and lived in Prince Albert, SK where she met her husband, Dave. They were married on February 4, 1961. Jean dedicated her life to raising their 3 children. She later received her certificate as a driver instructor and worked across the province for several years. Jean also devoted much of her time caring for all of her grandchildren (Tyson, Mathew, David, Jesse, Alana, Travis, and Robert), great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. She was a very loving daughter who also took care of her aging parents. Jean enjoyed music, travelling, bowling, drawing, cards, dancing and hosting many family gatherings. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff involved in Jean's care, from the Cancer Centre in Saskatoon, Royal University Hospital, Victoria Hospital, Saskatoon Home Care nurses and care providers for all their efforts and compassion they provided to Jean and her family during the past 18 months. A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 – 1:30 pm, MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 130 9th St. E, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas officiating.
