SHAW, SHIRLEY DORIS
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Shirley Shaw of Saint John, who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday July 11th, 2015. Born in Saint John November of 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Doris Grant.
Shirley worked for the School Board as a Bus Driver for many years; she was a life time member of CUPE and enjoyed playing horseshoes, cards and bowling.
She is survived and will be missed by her son and daughters; Doug Shaw (Lisa) of Saint John, Cathy Shaw (Tony) of Saint John and Krista Shaw-Theriault (Dani) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Avery, Sydney, Shelby, Julia and Aaron; sisters Jean Smith of Saint John and Carole Rosart (Mike) of Hamilton, ON; brothers Morris (Shirley) of Hampton and Raymond (Yolanda) of Mississauga, ON; nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband Douglas H. Shaw and a brother in infancy Robert Grant.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of 5C South.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. By request there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
