Waite, Ralph — Passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at the Wedgwood Manor, Summerside. Born in Kensington in 1930, he was the son of the late Walter and Eva (Evans) Waite. Ralph will be remembered as a very kind and hard-working man who always put others before himself. He had a tremendous ability to recite dates and times and had a particular fondness for the life and times of Jesse James. Ralph is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Waite of Fredericton, N.B.; brother-in-law Lou Batty of Washington, D.C.; nephews Wilfred, Walter and John Waite of Fredericton, N.B.; Nelson Batty of Washington, D.C.; Randy Batty of Tennessee, U.S.A.; Kenneth Clark of Charlottetown; nieces Crystal Batty of Washington, D.C.; Marina Hunter of Fredericton, N.B.; Elaine Mugford and Marlene Clark of Charlottetown; and Carol Clark of Vancouver, B.C. Ralph was predeceased by brothers Percy and Wilfred; sisters Marion Waite, Glen Batty and Ruth Clark. Special thanks to the staff of Wedgewood Manor for Ralph’s excellent care and to his special friend John Mitchell. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will later take place in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 only. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
