With sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Morrison) MacQueen at Harbourstone Enhanced Care on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the age of 94.
Born in Sydney, daughter of the late Michael B. and Johanna (MacCormick) MacDonald.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Malcolm MacQueen and family members also include Anne Marie MacCormack (Ray); Michael (Josephine); Donna MacKinnon (Jerry); Andy (Paula); Bill (Sharon); Diane Stoker (Keith); Nancy MacLellan (Allan); Linda Van Schaayk (Frank); Charles (Kim); Donna and Duncan (Mary). Also surviving are siblings Sr. Carmelita MacDonald CND and Bernie MacDonald and 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Morrison, brothers, Jim, Joe, Vince and John Hugh, sisters, Refina, Kay and Theresa, great-grandson Isaac Fougere and by several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation for the late Mrs. MacQueen will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, July 17 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church with Fr. Albert Maroun officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
