Annie Beitel (Huber) of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully on July 14, 2015. She was born on November 27, 1922 and raised in Bayard. Annie was predeceased by her husband Zach; son Kenneth; son-in-law John Niewenhuizen; brothers John, Joe, George (Elsie) Huber; in-laws John (Irene) Rossler, Adolph(Hedy) Gross, Otto and Martin Beitel. She will be sadly missed by daughters Leona (Jerry) Hicke, Maxine (Walt) Dalrymple, Lorraine Fisher, Jackie Niewenhuizen; daughter-in-law Cheryl Beitel (Ed); sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; in-laws Betty and Delores Huber; the Beitel family, Sigmund (Dianna), Margaret, Joe, Leonard (Edna), Wilfred (Phyllis), Marvin (Julia); as well as many nieces and nephews. Annie received her education at Tranquility School. She married Zach on May 29, 1944 and they farmed in Bayard and later in Spring Valley district. They retired to Moose Jaw in 1979. Annie enjoyed entertaining, playing cards with neighbors and going on trips with friends. She moved to Mulberry Estates where she enjoyed eleven years making new friends and participating in activities. In 2013 she moved to Chateau St. Michael’s where she resided until her passing. Annie will be remembered for her love of cooking, baking and gardening. Annie’s cherished moments were times spent in the company of family and friends. A Prayer Service will take place on Sunday July 19, 2015 at 7:00PM at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. NW, Moose Jaw. Reverend Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
