It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allison Morrison, 82, of Celtic Court in Sydney — where she has been a resident for a year and a half.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late, Daniel and Mabel (Kehoe) Shepherd. She was a graduate of the Glace Bay Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, and worked for a period of time at the Sydney City Hospital.
Allison is the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra (George Jones), South Bar; one son, Donald (Francine Leblanc), Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Caroline Leblanc, and Patrick Mulrooney; and many nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Angus (Gus) Morrison, 1988, one daughter, Kathy, 1993, two sisters, Jean Smith and Helen Shepherd and two brothers, Bud and Bill Shepherd.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 21, 2-4 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Allison’s family would like to thank the staff of Celtic Court for all of their love and compassion for our mother during her stay there.
