1925 - 2015
Louis H Savoie, 89, of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, on Saturday July 18, 2015. He was married to Gisèle (Roy) Savoie. Originally from Saint-Quentin, he was the son of the late Eddy and the late Rosanne (Bernard) Savoie.
He was the president and founder of «Architectural Designers & Associates Ltd» where he worked on many major projects in New-Brunswick. He was also involved in Education, Forestry and the CNR.
He had a great many pastimes, some of his favorites; mental arithmetic, crossword puzzles, chess and Bridge.
Louis was a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Gisèle, his sons; Raymond of California and Guy (Julie Bernier) of Moncton and his grandsons; Xavier and Pierre Savoie. He also leaves to mourn his sisters; Rita Migneault (late Alcide) of Saint-Quentin, Thérèse Pelletier (late Maurice) of Edmundston and Cécile Savoie of Saint-Quentin, his brothers; Guy (Janine) of Edmundston, Bernard (late Solange) of Moncton, his sisters-in-law, his brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents he was predeceased by a son, Marc (Denise), two sisters; Estelle and Odélie and four brothers; Hector, Hermel, Raymond and Yvon.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église in Bouctouche, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 7 to 9pm and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45pm. The funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, in Bouctouche, on Thursday July 23, 2015 at 4:00pm.
In Louis’s memory a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
