Angela
Nov. 18, 1951 - July 21, 2015
Corner Brook, NL
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angela (Payne) Warren on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 63 years. She was predeceased by her parents Percy and Margaret (MacPherson) Payne. She is survived by her siblings: Rosie House (Rendell) of Hawkes Bay, Karl Payne (Janet) of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Virginia Bennett (Aladdin), of Deer Lake, and Dorothy Payne (Chip Bird), of Louisburg, Nova Scotia; her children: Stephen (Ellen) of Debert, Nova Scotia, Christopher of Montreal, Quebec, and Victoria Jones (David) of Corner Brook; and grandchildren Izabelle, Gabriel, Maggie, and Fraser; as well as her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Angela was born and spent her early childhood in Cow Head. For many years she worked while raising her kids and she continued her working life until illness prevented her from continuing. Angela was a cat lover and a dependable cooker of family dinners. She was a devoted mother and doting grandmother who never missed an occasion to give cards and gifts to her grandkids. Throughout her life and during her illness she always maintained her sense of humour, a smile, and a love for the simple pleasures of life. The family wishes to extend fond wishes and thanks to her friends at work, her extended family, Dr. Kim Gunson and the wonderful, nurturing doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care and Chemotherapy Units of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. At Angela's request, a small "nothing fancy" Ceremony of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family guest book may be signed by visiting www.country-haven.ca.
