FEARON, SONYA "JANE"
It is with great sadness the family of Jane Fearon, of Rothesay, wife of the late Robert A. Fearon, announce, after a brief illness, her passing which occurred on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her residence. Born on October 19, 1935 in Charlottetown, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Eileen (MacEachern) Praught.
Jane was a loving mother to Valerie Fearon (John), Paul Fearon (Tanya) and Nancy Power (Mark), grandmother to Dylan, Dana-lee (Matt), Abigail, Olivia, Grace and Taylor, and great grandmother to Oliver. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, as she was very involved in their lives.
Aside from her parents and husband she was also predeceased by her brother Irving.
Jane had a passion for nursing and graduated from Charlottetown Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1957. Though she started her career as a pediatric nurse, she worked for 25 years specializing in mental health on the Children's team in Saint John before retirement in 1999.
Although there will be no visitation, friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay on Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in People’s Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI, at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
