Forbes, Charles Hedley “Bud”
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Charles Hedley “Bud” Forbes who died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 23rd, 2015. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Rowena (Carpenter) Forbes and the husband of the Olive (Simpson) Forbes.
Bud served overseas during WWII with the North Shore, NB, Regiment and the Queens Own Rifles in North West Europe. He was a graduate of Rothesay Collegiate and Dalhousie University with a degree in Pharmacy. He was also the former owner of Ross Drugs in Fredericton and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4.
He is survived by his loving wife, Olive; daughters, Allison Brideau (Michael), Linda Grant (Danny), Elaine Bernard, Jean Gass (Randford) and Carolyn Kehoe; grandchildren, Jessica, Stacey and Danielle Brideau, Kelly (Marty Surette) and Jeffrey Grant, Mark (Kerstin) and Stacy Coy (Steven Lewis), Michael (Meghan) and Heather Gass (Scott Maston), Jack and Alana Kehoe; great grandchildren, Jordan, Lochlan, Duncan, Morgan, Grady and Thomas; nephew, Dr. Tim Haswell (Denise); and great- nephews, Robbie and Michael.
He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Jean (Kelly) Forbes; sister, Marye Elizabeth Haswell and nephews, Robert and Charles Haswell.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Parish Church on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at 11:00 am. Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove will officiate assisted by Canon T.A. Smith. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, will do a tribute at the service. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery.
