Stanley Mol

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, July 27, 2015, God called Stan home in his 92nd year.
Stanley was born in Zierikzee, Netherlands, May 6, 1924. He was the son of Leonard and Nellie Mol, who with their family, emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in 1939.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Verkaik), of almost 68 years; sons David (Eva), Leonard (Debbie), Calvin (Nathalie) and Robin (Michelle); grandchildren Nathan, Brandon, Jacenta, Jason, Kaelin, Jordan, Ashlee, Amy, Alyssa, Maddison, Coby Lynn, Mackenzie, Camber and Mason; great-grandson Elliott.
He is also survived by sisters Sue (Ralph) Condotta and Connie (George) Luyt.
Stanley was predeceased by his brother Marinus (Rena).
Stan moved to P.E.I. in 1962 where he started his real estate career. He was one of the founding fathers of the P.E.I. Real Estate Association. This career lasted 47 years and took him throughout the ‘Island’ where he thoroughly enjoyed meeting people and helping them settle in their homes, farms and businesses. He was also active on the family farm in his spare time.
Stanley was a faithful member of Charlottetown Christian Reformed Church where he was a choir member and served in the church’s administration. He was very actively involved when the church was built in the mid 1960’s. He was also a Rotarian for 20 years.
Visiting hours will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 153 Mt. Edward Road, Charlottetown under the direction of Belvedere Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 153 Mt. Edward Road on Friday at 11 a.m.
Following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall which will be followed by the interment in Highfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Christian School or the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. www.belvederefh.com
