Mildred Viola Virginia Snowden, 83 years of age, of Springhill, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the High Crest Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Union Valley, NS , she was a daughter of the late Stanley & Virginia (Davis) Alyward.
Mildred loved to play bingo and paint in her later years. In her younger years she loved to go out with her partner and go to the drive in.
Mildred will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kathy Matthews (Alan) of Springhill, NS, Debra Cvitkovich of Springhill, NS; sons, Marven ( Donna-Marie) of Bridgewater, NS, Reginald of Springhill, Roy ( Barbara) of Springhill, NS; twelve grandchildren, twenty- one great grandchildren and a baby to be; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dennison, sisters, Grace Rector, Lillian Roberts, Hazel Willigher, Gienna, brother, Ralph.
Arrangements are under the direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, N.S. The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. Burial to take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
