Judy B. Welling

WELLING, JUDY B.
Welling, Judy Beth, May 28, 1941- July 25, 2015, formerly of Shediac, NB, passed away peacefully at her home in London ON with her family at her side after a lifelong battle with cancer.

She was a member of the St. Martins in the Woods Anglican Church in Shediac Cape and before moving to London, ON in 2013.She was a member of the ACW there as well as a member of the Domestic Engineers bowling league on Wednesday mornings. She was a volunteer for more than 20 yrs with the Reach to Recovery Support group in the Moncton branch of the Canadian Cancer Society and a volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada serving as a leader with the Brownies and Guides and as a Commissioner.

She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in Shediac Cape, she was the oldest daughter of the late Gordon and Hazel (Hopper) Bateman and is survived by two daughters, Sharri Coates (Lonnie) of Upper Coverdale, NB and Darlene Dooks (Robert) of London, ON and one son, Larri Welling of Northbridge, Mass. A special sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Sam Dow of Bateman's Mills, NB and a brother Kevin Bateman (Judy) of Cambridge, NS, Eight grand-children, Sean, Jeremy, Scott, Stephanie, Leanne, Matthew, Sharon, and Samantha, and four great grand-children, Mia, Lily, Blake and Madyson, also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held St. Martin’s-in-the-Woods Anglican Church, 3394 Route 134, Shediac Cape on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 3pm.

There will be a short time of visitation with family before the service from 1pm to 3pm.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
