BEST, G. REGINALD
The death of G. Reginald Best of Saint John, husband of the late Marian F. (Sharpe) Best occurred on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Wendell B. and Helen G. (Wood) Best.
Prior to his retirement, Reginald was employed as the General Manager of Eastern Paper. He was a past member of UCT, Men of Fundy, Sussex Silverados, Probus and was a senior Warden at St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Reginald always enjoyed a good game of golf but most of all he loved the times spent with family and friends.
Reginald is survived by his children, Wendy Best of Saint John, Steven R. Best (Mary) of Massachusetts and Michael G. Best (Donna) of Waterford; brothers, J. Douglas Best (M. Lois) and W. Bernard "Bunny" Best all of Saint John and Ian Best of Calgary; grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Katherine, Gregory and Josee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his infant sister, Constance.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 369 Main Street, Saint John on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
