Simone Sormany, 97, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Alphonse Sormany, (former mayor of Shediac) and the late Eva Couillard.
She was the sister of Gabrielle Godin (Théophile), Father Alphonse Sormany, Dr. Yvon Sormany (Esther) and Yolande Grenier (Daniel) who all predeceased her. She is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her Sormany cousins from Shediac.
Her family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Résidence Oasis in Dieppe, the staff of Manoir Notre-Dame in Moncton as well as the staff of the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont for their excellent care provided to Simone during the past years.
By request, there will be no visit at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11h.
