Emil Frederick Kit

Emil Frederick Kit passed away on August 3, 2015. Mr. Kit was born on August 9, 1929 in Lwow, Poland (today Lviv, Ukraine). He was the elder child of Mary nee Olinyk and Stefan Kit. Mr. Kit's father immigrated to Canada in 1930 and Emil and his mother followed in 1934. They settled near Weirdale, Saskatchewan. In 1960, Mr. Kit married Ann Adeline nee Zaleschuk and they have resided in Prince Albert and the surrounding area since 1964. Mr. Kit was predeceased by his father Stefan in 1975 and his mother Mary in 2002. Emil is survived by his spouse, Ann; five sons (Bruce, Brian, Shane, Wade and Cary); one sister (Sophie) and numerous grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Ivan Tsikhotskyy officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
