The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, August 1, 2015, of Mary Emily McCoubrey of Kensington, aged 81 years. Born in St. Edwards, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Sarah (Gaudet) Chaisson. Survived by her husband Harry McCoubrey; children Theresa (Laurie) Bell, Bill (Pauline) Laviolette, Christine (Roger) MacMillan, Ernest Laviolette, Lorne (Ester) Laviolette, Angie (Chris) Mudd, Brian (Wanda) Laviolette, Shelly Matthews and Stan Robotham; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brothers and sisters Roger (Lillian) Chaisson, Jean (Patrick) Doucette, Dolores (Major) Grady, Betty (Allan) Martin, Anna (Sam) Smith, Ronnie Chaisson and Lionel Chaisson (Charlene Smith). Predeceased by her first husband William “Willie” Laviolette; son Louis Laviolette; brothers Jimmy, Raymond and Leslie Chaisson; Joseph and Leo in infancy; and by a granddaughter Shannon Mudd. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday from 6 – 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
