It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Arthur Brenna, on Aug. 6, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Henry and Zabeth (Bourgeois) Brenna.
Arthur in his earlier years was in the air force. He then worked at Hydro Quebec for a number of years. He was an avid reader who never wanted to put a book down.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Monique (Girard) Brenna; his daughters, Louise Brenna, Ginette and Mariette; son, Henry Brenna; grandsons, Vincent and Martin and one granddaughter, Francoise; brother-in-law, Marcel Girard; as well as a nephew, Edward Hogan.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Louise Hogan.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Arthur’s life will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 12th at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating, followed by a luncheon at the Parish Hall, Convent Street.
