She enjoyed caring for her plants and gardening. She loved skating with her siblings and many friends and did so into her seventies. She also enjoyed her Card club which remained active for over fifty years. Her whole life was centred around her family and she loved to send cards on special occasions to many. Her daily ritual was going out for breakfast and socializing with the folks she met.
She enjoyed Christmas and Halloween and could be seen putting out lights and decorations in the worst weather and did so into her 80’s. She remained independent and healthy her entire life, and remained in her home where she was the happiest.
She is under the care of H.W. Angus Funeral Home. Her request was cremation and to be buried with her husband of 57 years.
Graveside internment service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, East River Road with Fergie MacKay presiding. Reception and fellowship following at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King St. New Glasgow.
