James Edison

EDISON, JAMES
James Mark “Jamie” Edison left us on August 7, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his loved ones by his side. Born in Saint John, NB to the late Jimmy and Carol (Guthrie) Edison in April of 1968, he was the loving husband of Christa (Hunter) Edison.
Jamie was a very calm, kind, generous and laid back gentleman. All those who remember seeing him growing up on Dominion Park Beach, or hanging out at Tim Hortons will miss his deep voice, reserved laugh and beautiful smile. Employees of Scottish Enterprises will remember Jamie for his stress-free attitude and strong work ethic that he gave to them for over 15 years. Jamie loved going to car shows and listening to blues music as well as Jimi Hendrix. He was a devoted father, brother, cousin, and friend, taken far too soon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Don’t worry though Jamie, Christa will be sure to keep your beautiful GMC on the road.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Bria, step-son Alex and step-daughter Madison; step-grandson Gabriel; his two sisters, Charlene (Rob) Chiasson and Cathy Edison (Monica); two nephews Noah and Kyle; and several aunt, uncles and cousins.
Along with his parents, Jamie was predeceased by his sister Wendy Edison, his niece Sienna Marie, his mother-in-law Mae Hunter, and his second mother – his aunt Shirley Burns.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10 from 2-8pm. A celebration of Jamie’s life will be held on Tuesday at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Mispec Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
