Robin Arlene Butt

BUTT, Robin Arlene – 40, Middle Stewiacke, passed away peacefully, after courageously fighting a battle with cancer since February 2015, on Thursday evening, August 6, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Robin worked at Nova Scotia Legal Aid in Truro and enjoyed bowling and off road racing, to name only a few of her interests. She loved her kids immensely and always stood behind them in everything they did and always looked forward to their next adventure together; she wasn’t just their mother, she was also their best friend. Robin was a unique person with a love and zest for life beyond imagination. She lived each and every day to the fullest and her memory will remain in the hearts of all those who she has touched. Robin will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her spouse, Derek Chase; children, Tanner James Chisholm and Baillie Elizabeth Anne Chisholm, Salmon River; father, Harold (Betty) Butt, Salmon River; brother, Christopher (Amanda) Butt, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta; sister, Katrina “Trina” Butt, Valley; half-sister, Kelly Jean (Vern) Ranger, Saskatchewan; step-sister, Kimberley Fisher, New Germany; mother-in-law, Lynn (Brian) Chase, North River; father-in-law, Phil Chase, Upper Stewiacke; paternal grandmother, Eva Butt, Salmon River; brother-in-law, Stephen Chase, Bible Hill; sister-in-law, Julie Chase, East Mountain; nieces and nephews, Candace, Brandon, Chevy, Summer, Cole, Sophia, Nora Robin, Kirsten, Kayla. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth “Ibby” Butt; step-father, Vernon Nelson; paternal grandfather, Ira Butt. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Donald Rowe and the staff of Colchester East Hants Health Centre for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Robin and her family and friends. Celebration of Robin’s life will start at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Brenton Cross Road. (Follow Highway 289 and turn right onto Brenton Cross Road; signs will be posted.) Robin was a huge supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and SPCA and we ask that donations in her memory be made to those organizations.
