LeBLANC, GERARD EMERY
1930 - 2015
Gerard Emery LeBlanc, 85, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10th, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous fight against cancer. Born in St-Anselme, NB, he was the son of the late Adelard and the late Seraphine LeBlanc.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. LeBlanc worked as a masonry foreman as well as a contractor. He was a parishioner of St-Anselme Roman Catholic Church. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, a good father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria (born Melanson); one son, Jean-Guy (Andrea) of Dieppe; four daughters: Monique Stiles of Moncton, Phyllis LeBlanc, Lisa Billings (Neale) and Louise Boyle, all three of Dieppe; eight grandchildren: Elizabeth, Sam, Marie, Christine, Tyler, Brianna, Xavier and Braden; three great-grandchildren: Jayden, Jaxsen and Jazlyn; three brothers: Raymond (Anita) of Waltham, MA, Bernard of Framingham, MA and Lorenzo of Dieppe; seven sisters: Frances (late Gerry) Beauchamps of Montreal, QC, Stella (late Ben) James of Ottawa, ON, Huberte (Reginald) Leger of Raymond, NH, Yolande LeBlanc, Annette LeBlanc, Phyllis (late Ron) Landry all three of Dieppe and Norma (late Jerry) LeBlanc of Waltham, MA; special friends who were like family: Ann Thor, Stuart Lind, Nicholas, Katie and Hannah and also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Marguerite and also by three brothers: Camille, Omer and Victor.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Friday, August 14th 2015 at 11 am. Interment in the St-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
