HOLLAND, ALFRED
Alfred Henry Holland, loving husband of Mary (Fuller) Holland passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Shannex Embassy Hall. Born 1922 in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England he was the son of the late Alfred and Harriette Holland.
Alfred was a Veteran with the British Army serving as CPL of Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 58. He was very proud of his heritage.
In addition to his wife Mary he is survived by his sons Ian Holland (Kim Grant) of Saint John and Frank Holland (Sue) of England; daughters Rosemary Holland (Tom) of Saint John and Carol O’Brien-Boucher (Pierre) of Ottawa; grandchildren Austin, Corissa and Marlee Holland, Neil and Brandon Armstrong and Corey and Evan Armstrong; seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his granddaughter Sarah Armstrong; and brothers and sisters in England.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). A private family service will take place.
Remembrances in memory of Alfred made to the Royal Canadian Legion poppy fund would be appreciated by the family.
