Pearl MacLean

WESTVILLE – Pearl Mae MacLean, 93, formerly of Acadia Avenue, Westville, passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2015, in Valley View Villa with family at her side.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bigney) Turner.
Pearl was well known for her love of music and dancing and enjoyed going to various dances throughout Pictou County and liked playing cards and going to card parties.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Donna Ryan (Murray Ewart), Truro; sons, Carl (Phyllis), Stellarton; Gary (Karen), Ottawa, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by brothers, Allister Turner (Vivian), New Glasgow; Doug Turner (Helen), Lower Sackville, and close friend, Carl Hoskins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sydney Burns MacLean; brothers, Joseph Allen, Jerry and Lawrence Turner; sisters, Josephine, Mary Jane, Alice MacInnis, Mabel MacIsaac, Harriet Avery and Annie Quinn, and close friend, Eric Brinkman.
Mrs. MacLean is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitations. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with the Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bee’s Cemetery, Westville. No flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
