MacLean, Geraldine Dawn “Geri”, 80 of Truro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Atkinson) Stiles.
Geri is survived by her husband of 61 years Ainslie MacLean; daughters Deborah Baillie ( Dana Sonier) of Amherst, Shannon (Mark) Fielding of Debert, Donna Irving Murphy (Budd Ham) of Moonstone, ON, Kristie of Truro; son Ted (Debbie) MacLean of Kemptown; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Higgins, Helen Mackenzie, Diane (Cecil) Fielding, Marlene (Lawrence) Power, Linda (Alec) MacInnis.
She was predeceased by her brothers Hollis and Arthur; brothers-in-law Roger Higgins and Floyd MacKenzie; sons-in-law Malcolm Baillie, Fred Irving.
No visitation or flowers by family request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 15th at 10:00 am. The Reverend Lori Ramsey will officiate with burial to follow in Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. Donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
