SURETTE, Ernest Adolphe – Age 60, of Pinkney’s Point, passed away on August 11, 2015 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on April 17, 1955, he was a son of Jane (Robbins) Surette and the late Belmont Surette, and also survived by his step-father, Ernie Muise. Ernest was a wonderful person and had a great sense of humor. He loved to help people and dedicated the last 8 years of his life helping others with alcoholism. Ernest worked in the cemetery at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Pinkney’s Point for many years. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Davis) Surette; step-children, Jeff and Sherri; siblings, Myrna, Sharon, Phillippe and Joan; 4 step-sisters and 2 step-brothers; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Malcolm. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was held from 3:30-5:30 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 13 with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father Henry Smolenarrs officiated, with burial in Saint Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery, Pinkney’s Point.
