WEISS-MULLIS - Florence Marie (Nee Samson)
November 7, 1922 – August 12, 2015

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence Marie Weiss-Mullis at the age of 92. Florence was born in Albertville, SK on the farm to Henry and Bertha Samson; she was the oldest of 7 children. She began working as a young lady at the TB Sanatorium in Prince Albert, SK. While working there she fell in love and married Lester Weiss. They made their home at the sanatorium and had 3 daughters Beverly Kosowan, Barbara Reding (Leo), and Ellen Renkas (Len). Mom and dad were married for 34 happy years until his passing in 1977. Twenty years later mom found a second love in Cyril Mullis. They were happily married for 7 years until his passing. Mom lived a life full of love and excitement she had numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite pass times included being a part of the Legion, playing darts, shuffleboard, traveling, and during the summer could be found going to Christopher or Weyakwin Lakes enjoying the company of family and friends.

Florence is predeceased by her parents Henry and Bertha Samson, first husband Lester Weiss, second husband Cyril Mullis, sisters Alma Samson and Bernadette Rodinsky, brother Paul and his wife Jan Samson, and brother-in-law Richard Weiss.

Left to cherish Flo’s memory are daughters Beverly Kosowan, Barbara Reding (Leo), Ellen Renkas (Len), siblings Roland Samson (Marlene), Norman Samson (Bertha), Eileen Rempel (Larry), as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

It is the family wishes in lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We would like to thank Dr. Halyk and all the staff at the Victoria Union Hospital, Level 6, for mom’s great care. The Celebration of Life will take place Monday, August 17th, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Mark’s Church 589 9th St. E. (Corner of 6th Ave E. and 9th St.E.) by Father Travis Murheim. The family invites you to join them for fellowship and refreshments in the church basement following the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, Paula Olson, Funeral Director.
