Sister Lilianne Léger, ndsc, in religion Sr. Marie-du-Bon-Pasteur, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Friday August 14, 2015 at the convent where she resided following a lengthy illness.
She was 100 and in her 79th year of her religious life.
Born March 24, 1915 in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Placide and Ursule (Cormier) Léger.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by a sister, Florida LeBlanc (Joseph) of Florida; a brother, Laurie (Dorice) of Florida; a sister-in-law, Aline (Philippe); many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by four sisters: Adéline, Yvonne, Alma, and Sr Suzanne; five brothers : Gérard, Amand, Philippe, Clovis and Irénée.
Sister Léger will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère convent at 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance).
Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 9 pm, and Tuesday from 9 am. Solemn vespers will be held Monday evening at 7 pm.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in their chapel on Tuesday August 18 at 10 am.
Interment will be in Memramcook.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
