It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jane Cyr announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 14th, 2015, after a period of failing health. Jane was born in Saint John on June 30th, 1962, a daughter of Glenna (Stephens) and Austin Colwell. Faith was very important to Jane; she attended St. Mark’s United Church, and was well versed in the Bible. She was also a devoted animal lover. In addition to her parents, Jane is survived by her brother Ron (Susan), sisters Gail (Randy) Cyr and Jackie Hanson, as well as nieces and nephews; Chelce, Jordan, Krista, and Heather. Jane was predeceased by her grandparents. James and Glenna Stephens, uncles Chesley Colwell and Russell Stephens, and her brother, Jimmy Cyr. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 18th at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
