Carol Mary MacPhee, Truro, peacefully passed away at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by family on Friday August 14, 2015 at the age of 74. Born July 13, 1941 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Betty (MacPhee) Rankoussy (Joe Rankoussy) and Cecil MacPhee.
She is survived by her son David Landry, daughter Cindy (Barry) Landry, step-children Lynn and Devin McNutt; siblings Kenneth (Judith) MacPhee and Sharron (Bill) Stewart; grandchildren Allison (Andrew), Trina, Nathan, Christina, Nicole; great grandchildren Tykeira, Austin, Ethan, Kaidel and Logan; nieces and nephews: her special girl Lorraine (Brenton), Connie (Dale), Kimberly (Wayne), Gregory, Marla (Chris), Tara (Barry), Samantha; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Her son Norman Dale Landry, daughter Wendy Lynn Landry, brothers Brian and Mark MacPhee predeceased her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family and life long friends. Vicky, Dorothy and Betty. Our family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff in the Palliative Care Unit in the Colchester East Hants Centre.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, August 18th, 2015, with the Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations can be made to Lupus Canada in Carol’s name.
