Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on August 17, 2015, Doris Gruchy, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her parents Berkley and Elizabeth Easterbrook; husband Gus in 1984; and daughter Linda in 2010. Leaving to mourn her devoted and loving daughter Nanette (Linegar) Gruchy; son Rick (Marilyn); grandchildren Stewart Linegar (Yvonne), Robin Reelis, and Ryan and Jesse Gruchy; great-grandchildren Hardy Linegar and Chloe and Aidan Reelis; sister Jean Briggs of Guelph, Ontario; and brother-in-law Hunter Gruchy of Pouch Cove. As per mom's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on August 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Thursday August 20 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Memorial United Cemetery.
