Connolly, Gloria Elizabeth 86 of Dartmouth passed away August 17,2015 to enjoy her late son Christopher's birthday party (August 17th) and what would have been their 63rd wedding anniversary (August 18th) with her late husband Owen. Born in Saint John NB she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine Gilbert. Gloria loved company visiting and her home was always open to all. She was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends. She loved to celebrate and decorate for ALL occasions. At Christmas her house on Windmill Rd, was known for the "countdown clock" in the window and was enjoyed by all who passed. She is survived by son Arthur (Johanne), daughters Cindy (Bill) McKenna, Kathy (Brian) Munroe, grandchildren Jennifer, Kenny, Shaun, Christine, Kimberley and Kevin and Nicole. Loved by great grandchildren Charish, Mariah, Owen, Cole, Christian, Kaia, Amari, Jonah, Kyron, Lawson and Chayte. Predeceased by husband Owen, son Christopher, daughter Patty and brothers Edward, James and Ralph. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the 3rd floor Arborstone for all the loving care they provided to Mom. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, with a Funeral Service to be held 10 am Friday, August 21, 2015 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street.
